Export financing is offered to International buyers to assist them in financing the purchase of Norwegian products.

Eksportfinans is the Norwegian Export Credit Agency for Export Financing. Owned by banks and the Norwegian Ministry for Trade and Industry, they are the sole and exclusive agent of government supported export financing in Norway. They offer competitive long term financing to aid the Norwegian export industry.

Ekportfinans can finance up to 85 per cent of the contract amount for capital goods and provides loans in most convertible currencies. Disbursement of funds takes place at delivery of goods. Financing is dependent on adequate risk coverage from the
The Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits (GIEK) and optionally in combination with an A-rated commercial bank, subject to approval by Eksportfinans.
